Protection should belong to everyone who creates.

For too long, patents and trademarks have been easiest to reach for people with large legal budgets. Arcangel gives independent inventors and first-time founders a clear, affordable way to own what they build.

From kitchen counter to registered brand

Amara's serums sold out at two farmers markets before the brand had a name she could keep. A knockoff listing appeared within a month, using her product photos.

Through Arcangel she ran a clearance scan across TESS, domains, and socials in an afternoon, filed a word mark with attorney review for $450, and locked the matching domain the same week.

Registration came through in under a year. The knockoff listing came down with one takedown letter that cited it.

The prototype was the easy part

Jon had a working mount for accessibility tools and three quotes from firms that started at five figures, before drawings.

He described the mechanism to Arcangel in plain language. Halo drafted the claims and generated the schematics, an attorney tightened both, and his provisional was filed for $400 with every government fee itemized up front.

Twelve months of patent-pending bought him time to license the design instead of racing to manufacture it.

Patent licensing

Monetize what you protect.

Licensing means you keep the patent and give someone else the right to make or sell what it covers. They pay for that right. The deal is built on the claims: what the patent protects is what a company is paying to use.

90%

Of every royalty stays with you. The licensing fee is $10,000, one time. Income depends on whether licensed products sell.

Option 1 · Sell it

Arcangel International IP Exchange

Sell your patent outright.

Prefer one payment over royalties? List your patent for sale and let companies and investors around the world make offers.

  • Set your own asking price, or take offers
  • Reach buyers in other countries, not just the US
  • One payment, and ownership transfers to the buyer
  • Coming soon: the IP Exchange opens to Arcangel members

You set the asking price and decide which offers to accept. Arcangel lists the patent and handles the transfer of ownership when a sale closes. A sale is final: the buyer owns the patent and any future royalties. Sale prices depend on the patent and on buyer demand, and a sale is not guaranteed.

Option 2 · License it

How Arcangel licensing pays you

You 90%10%

Your share

90%

of every royalty

Arcangel keeps 10%. Over 10 years of a 20-year patent, income depends on whether licensed products sell.

You pay a one-time $10,000 licensing fee. You keep 90% of every royalty payment and Arcangel keeps 10%. No number of deals or yearly amount is promised. Earnings depend on whether licensed products sell.

Option 3 · Franchise it

IP Exchange · Franchising

Franchise your brand.

Built a product people love? Register the brand behind it, then let operators open locations under your name and pay you to use it.

  • Set your franchise fee, royalty and territory model
  • List rights for future locations, city by city
  • Operators request a territory; you accept who you want
  • Franchisees can resell their location, with your approval

Franchising needs a registered trademark, since the mark is what franchisees pay to use. In the U.S. you also give buyers a Franchise Disclosure Document under the FTC Franchise Rule, usually prepared by a franchise lawyer. Example figures are for illustration; earnings depend on how each location performs.
